DANIEL SMITH
DANIEL SMITH Watercolour Stick - 12mL - Ivory Black (PBk9)
A warm, semi-transparent, leaning to an opaque pigment. Historically, this black was derived from burnt ivory from now-endangered species, thankfully, this is no longer the practice. An Ivory Black touched with yellow creates a blackened green excellent for backlit foliage. Think sumi and hand-painted stone lithographs. Can be used to darken transparent pigment.
These are the stick version of DANIEL SMITH Extra Fine Watercolour paint. This stick format can be used directly on the page for drawing or can be rewetted with a paint brush for painting. The pigment load is higher than than the tube paint and makes the sticks a very cost effective way to try these artist quality paints.
Each stick is approximately 75mm long and is wrapped in a label with pigment information.
Store away from humidity, especially if you plan to draw with the stick, as humid environments can cause the stick to soften.
Supplied as loose stock.
